The role requires candidates to have a minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial building maintenance, particularly in critical sites.
Applicants must possess City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 Electrical certifications and the 17th or 18th Edition qualification.
Responsibilities include performing electrical, mechanical, and fabric maintenance, along with tasks related to HVAC and plumbing.
The work schedule consists of a 4on 4off shift pattern, including days and nights, with opportunities for overtime and career progression.

Shift Engineer - (4on 4off days and nights) - Canary Wharf - £49,350

This is an exciting opportunity to work for an established FM service provider situated in the Canary Wharf. My client is looking for a Shift Maintenance Electrician to be based in a blue-chip commercial building in the City of London. The successful candidates will be electrically biased (C&G, 17th / 18th Edition) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance, ideally within a critical site (i.e. Bank, Blue chip office etc). Working with the maintenance team on site, He or she will be required to carry out electrical, mechanical and fabric maintenance to the following. In return the company are offering a competitive salary of up to £49,350 + overtime, further training and career progression. Duties:

Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, Changing ballast's, Control panel, Power distribution)
Emergency lighting
Hydraulics and Pneumatics
Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
Plumbing - Unblocking toilets
BMS Systems
UPS Systems

Hours of work

2 days, 2 nights 4 off
07:00 - 19:00 / 19:00 - 07:00
Plenty of Overtime
20 Days Shift Holiday

Requirements

City & Guilds - Level 2 & 3 Electrical
City & Guilds - 17th or 18th Edition
You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
An understanding of critical plant: UPS system, Generators, Control panel, Power Distribution, Chillers, HVAC
Multi-skilled
Good communication skills
Excellent customer skills
