Hybrid setting:

This is a temporary contract role until February for a Personal Assistant role with an immediate start date (Compliance dependant) for a five-month duration with a possible extension offering a flexible work setting and a East London location.

Job description:
This is an excellent opportunity to begin a Civil Service Career, work in a challenging, varied, and important role that is primarily focused on supporting the day-today business of Directors/Deputy Directors.
We are looking for someone who is able to work with senior managers across the CFO Directorate to achieve great outcomes for our customers. This role will be diverse and rewarding with the opportunity to grow and work across a broad range of business units.


What does the average day look like?


In this role you will manage Director's calendar and personal budget, making comprehensive records are always available. You will make arrangements for functions, conferences visits and meetings and co-ordinate and prepare the agenda and papers for executive meetings and assist with any follow-up action as necessary.

This includes supervising and organising workloads for the clerical support team in conjunction with other functional managers. Day to day you will maintain an efficient filing system paying particular attention to records of standing meetings, statutory records and authorisations. Utilising financial and procurement systems and act as the Local Purchasing Agent (where directed). You will also review accounts received and process invoices for payment in accordance with Internal Control procedures. As well as process and maintain weekly personnel records.

What essential skills and experiences are required?

The working hours/ days in the office
o (Apply online only) Monday to Friday
o At least 3 days per week in the office (Monday plus 2 further days from Tuesday to Thursday)
o Ideally 4 days per week in the office (Monday to Thursday)
