A Good-rated primary school in Redbridge is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their team on a maternity cover basis. This role will commence in January and will run until the end of the academic year, with the potential for a permanent position.



About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher to lead a Year 2 class during an important stage of their academic journey. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and promote learning, while supporting the social and emotional development of every child.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.

What We're Looking For:

  • UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential.
  • Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Two professional references from previous teaching roles.
