We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic ASD Teacher to join our partnered SEN Schoollocated in the heart of Lewisham. The school is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive environment for all students, and we are looking for a teacher who shares their dedication to excellence in education.


ASD Teacher - Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of students with ASD.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and learning.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including teaching assistants, speech therapists, and occupational therapists, to provide holistic support.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure each student reaches their full potential.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and involving them in the educational process.

ASD Teacher - Skills/ Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS / Education degree
  • Proven experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, particularly at Key Stage 3.
  • Strong understanding of ASD-specific teaching strategies and interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with best practices in ASD education.
