Role Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the subject, capable of delivering engaging lessons across KS3 to KS5, and committed to inspiring a diverse group of learners. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Computer Science to students from KS3 through KS5
  • Develop and deliver engaging, inclusive, and challenging lessons that meet curriculum standards
  • Inspire students to reach their potential and foster a love for computer science
  • Assess, track, and report on students' progress
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Computer Science curriculum
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student achievement and share best practices
  • Take part in extracurricular activities related to technology and computing, supporting students in competitions or projects

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience teaching Computer Science at the secondary level (KS3-KS5)
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages, computational theory, and technology trends
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to student success

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience with exam board requirements for GCSE and A-level Computer Science
  • Knowledge of educational technology and e-learning tools
