The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Psychology Teacher to join our team full-time from January 2025. This is a permanent role, providing the opportunity to inspire students in the study of Psychology across Key Stages 4 and 5. The successful candidate will be passionate about Psychology and education, delivering engaging lessons that challenge students to think critically and develop a deep understanding of human behavior and mental processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured Psychology lessons in line with the curriculum
  • Inspire students to develop an interest in Psychological theories, research, and applications
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Psychology exams, providing support for their academic development
  • Monitor and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback and support
  • Contribute to the development of the Psychology department, including resources and schemes of work
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes critical thinking and inquiry
  • Provide pastoral support to students, encouraging both personal and academic growth

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in Psychology or a related field
  • Strong subject knowledge of Psychology and its application to secondary education
  • Experience teaching Psychology at GCSE and A-Level
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • A passion for psychology and a commitment to helping students achieve their potential
  • Willingness to contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities
