Location: Lewisham, SE13 | Pay: £94 - £105 per day | Contract: Temp to Perm | Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Teaching Assistant to join our primary school in Lewisham. This role requires previous experience in a primary school setting and offers an opportunity to contribute to students' growth in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide personalised support to students, working with individuals and small groups to help them reach their learning targets.
  • Assist with classroom management, encouraging positive behaviour and maintaining a structured learning space.
  • Prepare and organise teaching materials, ensuring the classroom is well-equipped for lessons.
  • Supervise students during class, breaks, and extracurricular activities, ensuring their safety and promoting positive interactions.
  • Support pupils with special educational needs (SEN), tailoring your approach to meet their individual learning requirements.
  • Maintain regular communication with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure students are receiving the support they need.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a primary school setting is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting children's learning.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all students.
