Job Title: Allocations & Lettings Officer
Location: Ilford
Term: Temp, 12 weeks with the possibility of extension
Rate: £20 hour PAYE/Umbrella £25.13

Role Purpose:As a Housing & Lettings Officer, you will play a vital role in:
- Allocating council and registered provider homes based on the Housing Act 1996.
- Managing our choice-based lettings system for permanent homes.
- Matching applicants with special needs and providing essential housing advice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy and Planning: Utilise your knowledge of housing laws to support customers effectively.
- Operations and Support: Coordinate the advertising of void properties and verify applicant details.
- Communication and Partnership: Build strong relationships with colleagues and external partners.
What We're Looking For:
- Knowledge of the Housing Act 1996 and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
- Experience in customer service, particularly with vulnerable individuals.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- A team player who can also work independently.
- Candidate requires experience in allocations and lettings from a Local Authority background.
