Family Law & Litigation Solicitor- £35,000+ Commission- Ilford, London

The Role

We are a well-established, highly regarded law firm, looking to appoint an experienced Family Law and Litigation Solicitor to our team.

You will handle a diverse range of cases, providing expert legal advice to clients and representing them in various legal matters. The ability to manage your own caseload with minimal supervision is essential.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a full caseload of family law and/or litigation matters, including but not limited to divorce, private child arrangements, financial disputes, civil litigation matters, and landlord and tenant disputes.
  • Provide expert legal advice to clients on family law and litigation matters, ensuring high-quality service and compliance with legal standards.
  • Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, witness statements, bundles, skeleton arguments etc.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and stay updated with developments in family law and civil litigation.
  • Attend court hearings, trials, and mediations, representing clients with professionalism and integrity.
  • Liaise with clients, courts, and opposing parties, managing relationships and expectations.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members, but also independently manage your own caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain accurate case records, manage deadlines, and ensure effective time management.

The Person

  • Experience: 3-5 years of proven experience in Family Law and/or Litigation, with the ability to handle complex cases.
  • Education: Law degree or equivalent legal qualification with LPC / BPC. 3-5 PQE required for Solicitors.
  • Strong understanding of family law, civil litigation processes, and relevant legislation.
  • Ability to work independently and handle a diverse caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to interact with clients and third parties professionally.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
