Maintenance Engineer Required!
Our client is a global manufacturer and supplier of optical components for scientific equipment. They are now looking for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Engineer to perform mechanical and electrical repairs on a range of industrial machinery.
Package:
- Mon-Thu 08:00-16:45 and Fri 08:00-15:15.
- Salary 30,000 - 37,000 (DOE)

Maintenance Engineer - Responsibilities:
- Performing hands-on maintenance and mechanical repairs on a variety of industrial machinery.
- Operating machines, including manual lathe work, milling, and drilling, to produce custom tools and components for production use.
- Conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager and addressing machinery breakdowns.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical faults.
- Sourcing or fabricating specialized components, fixtures, or fittings and managing related equipment and supplies.
- Assembling and erecting machinery.
- Carrying out building maintenance and repair tasks.
- Working with mechanical systems, including bearings, pumps, valves, and chains.
- Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
Maintenance Engineer - Requirements:
- Experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
- Over 3 years of experience as a manual machinist.
- Strong knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail with strong numeracy skills.
- Effective planning and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
