Our client is a very successful and bespoke manufacturing business and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Operations Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the 'day to day' operational management and improvement of a bespoke manufacturing business in South East London.
The Role:
Reporting to the directors the Operations Manager will be responsible for the management of all operational functions including manufacturing, production, projects and logistics.
Managing a small team of departmental managers you will take the lead in driving continuous improvement and enabling strategic plans to deliver rapid business growth.
Your duties will include: -
- Management and control of manufacturing, operations and logistics functions including high value projects.
- Identify opportunities for and implement actions to improve manufacturing processes, production, lead times and product quality etc etc
- Ensure effective fiscal control of all budget responsibilities
- Develop and expand continuous improvement culture throughout the business
- Review supply chain and procurement functions and negotiate cost reductions
- Lead regular performance review meetings and report to the board of directors
- Ensure legal compliance throughout the business.
Candidate:
The successful candidate will be an experienced Operations Manager with previous manufacturing experience. Ideally applicants will have experience in luxury / high end manufacturing or working in innovative manufacturing environments.
You will have proven track record for delivering business success and preferably you will have previous management experience in the fabrication, assembly or bespoke manufacturing (metals, wood, composites).
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday - 40 hours
Benefits:
Excellent basic salary negotiable £75K - £85K + Benefits Negotiable
