Job Title: Critical Facilities Maintenance Mechanical Day Engineer

Location: E. London, On-site, Full-time

Salary: 48,000

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to work for an established Data Centre provider.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay on top of the technical aspects of all our equipment.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance work, making sure our systems are up-to-date.
  • Carry out maintenance tasks safely and efficiently, meeting deadlines and service standards.
  • Troubleshoot and fix any issues quickly to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Oversee and coordinate maintenance work, ensuring it meets our standards.
  • Help manage incidents, figure out what went wrong, and support the Shift Engineering Teams.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure we're following best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in facilities, operations, or engineering within Data Centers or critical environments.
  • Strong understanding of engineering operations in Business-Critical Environments.
  • Experience with complex M&E systems (Electrical distribution, BMS, HVAC, etc.).
  • 18th Edition certified or similar electrical qualifications preferred.
  • IOSH - Working Safely certification required.
  • Good understanding of Data Centre systems, water treatment L8, and F-GAS/J11 is advantageous.

About You:

  • Experience with A/C/Chiller and Cooling Systems is beneficial.
  • Strong customer service commitment and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn, and willing to share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Must pass full security checks to BS7858:2019 standard.
