Mechanical Qualifications needed consist of the below -
NVQ level 3 as a minimum (MUST)
City & Guilds Level 3 as a minimum (MUST)
AP10 - Authorised Person: Mechanical (pressure systems)
Boiler House & Steam Utilisation Course (BOAS)
HVAC-Competent Person HTM 03

About the role:
We are looking to take on board a strong Mechanical Biased Shift Engineer to be based on a High-End state of the arts commercial site in Canary Wharf you will be responsible for maintaining industrial systems and equipment on site.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. You will be responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. We are looking for a reliable and hard-working Engineer to carry out duties to the highest standard. There is a succession plan for this role meaning they will be looking to progressing you into a Technical Supervisor. The ideal candidate must be extremely client facing and be technically strong as one of the interview rounds will include a technical test.
Responsibilities:
You will be part of a large team on a High-End commercial site in the heart of Canary Wharf.
Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.
Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
Candidate requirements:
The ideal candidate is extremely client facing (job activities that involve direct interaction or contact with a client or customer)
The ideal candidate has bundles of experience working as a mechanical/electrical shift engineer and within the facilities maintenance industry.
AP10 - Authorised Person: Mechanical (pressure systems) (DESIRED)
Boiler House & Steam Utilisation Course (BOAS) (DESIRED)
HVAC-Competent Person HTM 03(DESIRED)
Must be Level 3 qualified as a minimum.
