Job Title: Modification Technician Job Location: Seven Kings, East LondonHourly Pay Rate: £19.97 PAYE / £25.43 UmbrellaShifts: Mon - Fri Days 06:00 - 18:00 / Sun - Thurs Nights 18:00 - 06:00 (2 Weeks rotating)Trains: Aventra Class 720Start Date: ASAPIndustries considered: Rolling Stock, Aviation, HGV, PCV Plant, Agriculture and Armed Forces.Position Summary:Working at a live Rail Depot you will be engaged in the implementation of a suite of modifications on Aventra Class 720 Fleet. Take overall responsibility of vehicle in line with vehicle maintenance instructions (VMI's) and Modification instructions. Undertake all types work to ensure that a safe, reliable, and defect free train is provided. Take responsibility for the safe, efficient and professional workmanship of oneself and others under your control. Duties could include the following:* Carrying out modifications as per instructions* Mechanical Interiors/ Roof & Underframe inspections* Recording work via both paperwork and computer (SAP) Ideal Candidate* A diligent professional able to work well as an individual or in a team. Relevant experience required: * History of completing safety critical work* Ability to undertake detailed fault finding and analysis by reading and following electrical and pneumatic schematic drawings.* Comprehensive knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical Principles* Computer literate and experience of using a maintenance management system for work recording.Qualification required:* Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or a NVQ 2 or above in a relevant field PLEASE NOTE ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUGS AND ALCOHOL TEST BEFORE BEING OFFERED A POSITION.Please note due to the volume of applications, we can only commit to contact those candidates we deem suitable for the position.
