My client is a well-established specialist in the overhaul and dismantle of motors, pumps and gearboxes. Due to ongoing success, they are looking to recruit an Electrical Fitter to work on electric motors both in their workshop and out in the field. The successful candidate will have a background in electrical fitting of motors and be based within commutable distance of East London.
Electrical Fitter Position Overview
- Working in a large workshop
- Carrying out repairs, dismantle and overhaul on electric motors
- Moving and repairing lift motors
- Testing motors, training provided for this required
- Using lathes, drilling and milling machines
- Fitters are required to travel to client sites as required. This will mainly be around London and the South East, with occasional trips to the Midlands and North. A van pool is provided for this.
- Carrying out servicing at client sites
- Fulfilling duties as instructed by workshop management
Electrical Fitter Position Requirements
- A background in electrical motor repairs is essential
- CSCS Card beneficial
- 17th or 18th Edition is ideal
- Able to use hydraulic presses beneficial
- Able to measure to tolerance and size beneficial
- Based within commutable distance of East London
- Happy to take partake in 1 in 6 rota
- UK Driving Licence
Electrical Fitter Position Remuneration
- Salary: 30,000 - 35,000 + overtime
- Overtime paid at 1.5x and 2x for Sundays
- Extra pay for being on rota
- Hours Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:00, Weekends optional
- 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
- BUPA Healthcare after 1 year
