Job Title: Plumber/Pipefitter
Location: Construction Site - East London
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (with potential for permanent)
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber/Pipefitter to join our dynamic team on a construction site. The ideal candidate will have experience installing and maintaining piping systems in both residential and commercial buildings, ensuring high-quality work in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain piping systems, including water, gas, and waste systems, as per blueprints and project specifications.
- Ensure proper fittings and connections for various types of pipes (e.g., copper, PVC, steel).
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on existing systems.
- Work alongside other trades on-site to ensure efficient project completion.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance to ensure system functionality and compliance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a plumber/pipe fitter, ideally in construction.
- Relevant plumbing qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems and installation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Experience working with various types of pipe materials.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) preferred.
- PPE required on-site (provided by the employer).
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations specific to construction sites.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
