BIRD PROOFER | £28,000 to £38,000 | LONDON | PERMANENT | NIGHTS/DAYS

We are currently recruiting for Experienced Bird Proofers working across London, there is both Night and Day shifts available.

Key qualities, responsibilities and requirements:

  • Have a broad knowledge of pest control/ bird control and an enthusiasm to apply practically.
  • Good communication skills verbal and written, with a proactive approach to resolving issues with the rest of the team.
  • An understanding that service is not just the technical elements of the role, but also the nature of positive human relationships.
  • Good organisational and time management skills, and the ability to plan and priorities workload with limited supervision.
  • Teamwork be a part of a positive collaborative work environment, while encouraging fellow team members.
  • You will be able to tell good customer stories and have plenty of examples.
  • Deliver quality bird control/ bird proofing services to both commercial and residential premises.
  • Respond to pest control service requests within the required Service Level Agreements.
  • Meet KPIs for quality, performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Complete detailed service reports for work completed and record all visit information using android/ PDA technology.
  • Complete pest services safely in line with Health and Safety and Quality guidelines.
  • To fully inspect client premises for pests, pest risk and potential root cause e.g., by determining entry points.
  • To carry out the correct treatment/ installation/ service, and to advise customers of any other pests/ pest risk.
  • To advise the customer of maintenance requirements to prevent pests entering the building both verbally and in writing.
  • Make clients aware of all risks associated with pests, with reference to relevant legislation.
  • Provide proactive recommendations to reduce pest risk, both verbally and in writing.
  • To ensure the sales team are aware of the advice provided via a sales lead and by telephone.
  • To highlight hygiene/ housekeeping issues with the client, both verbally and in writing, with the reasons for concerns.
  • To clean and remove evidence of infestation (e.g. droppings/ fouling) from a clients premises and dispose of it in the appropriate way.
  • Must be able to access and be comfortable with working in a variety of conditions, including confined spaces, damp and/ or dusty locations, freezing conditions and hot conditions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Bird Control/ Bird Proofing.
  • A full drivers license.
  • PASMA and IPAF is desirable.
