The ideal HLTA will have:

  • Good Literacy & Numeracy Skills: GCSE Maths and English Grade C (or equivalent) - essential to help support students effectively in their learning.
  • Experience Supporting Academic & Social Development: A proven track record of helping children reach their academic and social potential, whether through classroom support or other educational settings.
  • Experience with SEND: Previous experience of working with children who have SEND will be highly valued, though the school is committed to providing full training and development for the right candidate.
  • Motivated to Support All Learners: You'll be highly driven to support children of all backgrounds, especially those with SEND
