Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer with leadership experience?



The Role:

As the Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of all mechanical systems on a static site in South East London. Leading a team of five skilled engineers, you will ensure the efficient delivery of planned and reactive maintenance tasks.

  • Managing and mentoring a team of engineers.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Overseeing planned preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Attending to reactive maintenance issues promptly.
  • Supporting and participating in the call-out rota.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to the team.
  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders to ensure service excellence.


About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer, ideally in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing,and heating systems
  • Excellent communication and team management skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
