Job description

Job Title: Maintenance CoordinatorLocation: Ilford

Job Summary:We are seeking candidates with proven experience in property management within the UK. The ideal candidate will be professional, presentable, and dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service. A strong client-focused approach and relevant expertise in managing customer relationships are essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating maintenance requests from tenants and landlords. This role involves scheduling, communicating with contractors, and ensuring that all maintenance activities meet company standards and comply with relevant health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Coordination:

  • Assist with managing maintenance requests from tenants and landlords.
  • Track and update schedules for planned and active maintenance works.
  • Log disrepair issues accurately into the system

Contractor Support:

  • Organise appointments and respond to contractor queries.
  • Ensure contractors complete work to expected standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors.

Tenant and Landlord Relations:

  • Liaise with landlords and tenants to provide timely updates on maintenance progress.
  • Communicate effectively with tenants to understand their maintenance concerns.
  • Provide excellent customer service to tenants and nurture positive relationships with landlords.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Occasionally correspond with local councils regarding property issues.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Familiarity with property maintenance and housing regulations (desirable).
  • Proficiency in relevant computer systems and software.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time, 9.30am - 6.00pm

  • Office-based
