Daniel Owen are currently working with a fantastic social housing company based in East London who are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity if you're passionate about social housing and have a strong background in planned works projects.

The Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing major planned works projects across a variety of social housing schemes. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality. You'll also need to visit sites regularly, monitor progress, and liaise with contractors and stakeholders to resolve any issues that arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing financial aspects of planned works projects.
  • Carrying out site visits to monitor progress and ensure cost control.
  • Working with JCT contracts and preparing tender documents.
  • Providing cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Managing relationships with contractors and suppliers.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in Quantity Surveying within the social housing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of JCT contracts.
  • A full UK driving license.
  • Experience managing planned works in social housing, such as refurbishments and upgrades.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong financial management and cost control experience.
