Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (Commercial Flooring)

Location: Essex
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 (Depending on experience) Looking for both Assistant or Senior Quantity Surveyor
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are excited to assist a leading Essex-based Commercial Flooring Contractor in their search for an experienced Commercial Flooring Quantity Surveyor. Due to a growing number of New Build contracts across London and the Home Counties, this role will support the senior management team in ensuring smooth operations across all flooring projects.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of commercial flooring projects, ensuring accurate cost management, and working closely with the Project Management team to provide timely estimates and tenders. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handling Applications and Variations for ongoing projects.
• Detailed cost management of all jobs.
• Collaborating with the senior management team to ensure smooth project execution.
• Preparing Estimates for approval before submission to clients.
• Managing Tenders and bid documentation as needed.
• Conducting Risk Assessments and Method Statements for live projects.
• Placing orders with suppliers and preparing job packs.
• Limited site visits for measurements and estimating.
• Ensuring excellent customer liaison and communication.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor in Commercial Flooring Projects, ideally within New Build Flooring.
• Familiarity with Callidus Estimating Software or CAD is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Email.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Comfortable commuting to the Essex/East London area.
• A proactive attitude with a desire to win business and contribute to the company's growth.
