We have an exciting opportunity for a Property Licensing Support Officer - Housing in Ilford.

Our client seeks a candidate with preferably with relevant experience or an interest in Private Sector Housing. If you are looking to transfer and utilise your existing skills and experience in this role, we want to hear from you!

The role:

Work as part of a team to deliver the day-to-day licensing support functions in an effective, efficient and customer friendly manner.

Provide a first point of contact for tenants and landlords when they need specialist advice and information about property licensing.

Support the work of the enforcement officers by ensuring all information entered onto the database is accurate and up to date.

To work effectively with other internal services to ensure a joined-up service.

Delivery of appropriate business support processes within the Property Licensing Team.

Desirable qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload.
  • Professional and courteous communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Willingness to be flexible and work in the office as well as remotely.
  • Knowledge of Private Sector Housing is advantageous.
  • Ability to follow processes and meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Comprehensive understanding of generic work practises, policies, processes, and procedures relevant to this role
