Daniel Owen are proud to be representing a social housing company in the South East London area who are looking for a Compliance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis to ensure that our projects and operations comply with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments across all projects and operational areas.
  • Advise and guide internal teams on compliance-related matters, providing practical solutions to regulatory challenges.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure that construction projects meet all legal, health and safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
  • Manage the company's compliance with relevant housing and construction regulations, including building codes, planning permissions, and other statutory requirements.
  • Ensure that all contracts and agreements are compliant with current legislation and company policies.

Key Knowledge:

  • Social housing/Local authority background
  • Proven experience (at least 3-5 years) in a compliance management role within the social housing, construction, or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of UK housing and construction regulations, including health and safety, planning, environmental, and building code compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS),
