ART TEACHER

A Good Secondary School based in Redbridge, is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Art Teacher who can also teach Photography to join their team from April 2025.

This large Community school located in the borough of Redbridge, are looking to recruit an Art Teacher who is also able to teach Textiles and/or Photography to join their team from April. The Senior Leadership Team have the highest expectations and ambitions for every student. The school have recently completed their rebuild and the facilities available are fantastic.

The Senior Leadership Team are very supportive of their staff and are always trying to better there expertise. Having been graded Good in their last Ofsted, it was stated that "Leaders and their staff work together to maintain high expectations of all pupils. This leads to pupils good behaviour and positive relationships."

The school is located with walking distance from London Overground Stations and has parking available.

ART TEACHER:

The department believe that the arts can play an exciting and leading role in providing dynamic focus for the educational experience of its young people. As a department, they strive to enable all of their students to understand what it means to create Art and to develop their confidence and ability to communicate their own ideas visually. They believe that the study of Art and Design will enable their students to gain vital skills, which will help them acquire an important sense of belonging as well as building the self-confidence they need to do well and make their first steps towards higher education and employment. Extra-curricular activities are put on throughout the week to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed. Ideally the school are looking for a qualified Art Teacher who is able to teach Textiles and/or Photography.

The role is to start in April and the school are looking for someone who can commit until the end of the academic year in the first instance.

To be considered for this Art and Textiles/Photography Teacher role you must have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• PGCE in Art/Photography
• Experience teaching Art to KS3 and KS4
• Experience of teaching Photography to Ks3 and KS4 (Desirable)
• Experience of teaching Textiles to KS3 and KS4 (Desirable)
• The desire to join a very successful department and school
