- Deliver high-quality English lessons to KS4 students, ensuring lessons are tailored to meet diverse learning needs.
- Take ownership of the English curriculum, including planning, developing, and implementing a robust and engaging syllabus.
- Manage challenging behaviour effectively, promoting a positive and focused classroom environment.
- Use creative and inclusive teaching strategies to inspire and motivate students, fostering a love for English.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, providing individualised feedback and support to help them achieve academic and personal growth.
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated team of educators, support staff, and SEN specialists to create a consistent and supportive learning environment.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with significant experience teaching English at KS4 level.
- Strong curriculum development experience, with a proven track record of planning and delivering engaging schemes of work.
- Extensive experience in behaviour management, ideally within a PRU, SEND, or SEMH setting.
- A resilient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with students facing barriers to learning.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external agencies.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them achieve their potential despite challenges.
