We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our team in September. Our mixed secondary school in Ilford is committed to providing an exceptional educational experience for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Geography lessons that cater to diverse learning needs
- Assess and monitor students' progress, providing timely feedback and support
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration
- Participate in school meetings, parent evenings, and professional development sessions
- Contribute to the development of the Geography curriculum and school improvement plans
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, following school policies and procedures
- Support extracurricular activities and school events as required
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching and learning
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong subject knowledge in Geography
- Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment
