Job Description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled History teacher to join our team on a full-time maternity cover contract from 24th March 2025 to 23rd March 2026. This role requires a committed educator who can deliver high-quality history lessons, plan engaging content, and participate in all school-related activities, including parent's evenings.
Responsibilities:
- Teaching History to secondary school students across various year groups.
- Creating lesson plans that meet the academic needs of students and foster their interest in history.
- Assessing and marking student's work, providing feedback to support their academic growth.
- Participating in school meetings, staff development, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching History at the secondary level.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A strong passion for history and education.
Additional Information:
The maternity cover is needed for the full academic year, with an expected reduction to four working days per week from September 2025.
