Role Overview
As a Humanities Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across a range of subjects, including History, Geography, Religious Studies, and Citizenship. You will be expected to foster a love of learning, challenge students to think critically, and create a positive classroom environment where students can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in History, Geography, Religious Studies, and Citizenship.
Provide high-quality pastoral care and support to students, helping them achieve both academically and personally.
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND or EAL.
Contribute to the development and enrichment of the Humanities curriculum.
Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practice.
Be an active and positive member of the school community, supporting extracurricular activities and school events.
About You
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher with:
A relevant degree (e.g., History, Geography, Religious Studies, or a related field).
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A genuine passion for Humanities and a commitment to fostering student growth and achievement.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of diverse abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Previous teaching experience is desirable but not essential; NQTs are welcome to apply.
