GSL Education are working with a ‘Brilliant’ Secondary School in Redbridge to appoint a full-time Maths Teacher. The role is available to start as soon as possible

About the role:
As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging Mathematics lessons, plan, and prepare the syllabus according to the national curriculum, and support students across the Key Stages. This role also involves working closely with students, providing focused one-to-one and small group support to help them achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities as a Teacher of Maths:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Differentiate teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to facilitate academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum and departmental initiatives.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters students' enthusiasm for Mathematics.

As the ideal Teacher of Maths, you should have:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Minimum of 6 months UK Maths teaching experience or be an Early Career Teacher.
  • A Degree in Maths or a related subject area.
  • Ability to differentiate and scaffold lesson plans to suit the needs of all students.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Maths.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered with the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
