Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and committed Religious Education (RE) teacher to join our school on a maternity cover basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher to provide full-time cover until May 2025. From May onwards, the cover will be required on a part-time basis for two days a week (Monday and Tuesday). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging RE lessons, planning and marking, and attending parent's evenings.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering the RE curriculum in line with school and national standards.
- Planning and preparing lessons and teaching materials.
- Marking student's work and providing constructive feedback.
- Participating in parent's evenings and communicating effectively with parents/carers.
- Supporting student's academic and personal development.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching RE at a secondary school level.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
Additional Information:
The permanent RE teacher will return from maternity leave in May 2025 on a part-time basis. The maternity cover teacher will continue for two days a week until the end of the academic year.
