As they continue to grow their Fire Safety team,they have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Fire Safety Advisor. You will be given the opportunity to work with both Public & Private Sector clients as well as assisting in further developing the range of projects.




About the role





As a Fire Safety Advisor, you will work with high performing teams who are passionate about using their expertise to find solutions to complex problems. You will become part of a fast-growing team which is part of one of the largest and fastest growing consultancies in the UK. You will be provided with great professional development support with clear pathways to progress down either a technical or leadership route. You will be given a variety of projects to work on, including work for the ministry of defence, Government Property Agency, and the Ministry for education, among others. There is also a potential opportunity for the selected candidate to undertake foreign assignments for the likes of the foreign commonwealth Office (up to a maximum of 2 weeks at a time.)





Key responsibilities will include:



  • Strong technical knowledge and experience of conducting Type 1-4 Fire Risk Assessments.
  • Ability to undertake Fire Compartmentation Surveys.
  • Ability to prepare fire risk management plans for various occupancy types.
  • Full understanding of current and proposed future UK fire legislation and the ability to apply fire safety guideline documents.


About you





Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and diligent individual who have a meticulous attention to detail. You will be proactive and self-motivated with a friendly and personable approach.





You should be a qualified professional with experience working in a fast paced, high volume Fire Risk Assessor/Fire Safety Advisor role.








Suitable candidates should ideally also be able to demonstrate:



  • Highly organised
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good time management
  • Able to liaise with colleagues and clients.












Essential



  • Professional membership of the IFE or IFSM.
  • Registration to an approved third-party accredited assessor register such as IFE, IFSM (TFRAR)
  • Full Uk Drivers licence
  • Ability to obtain UK security clearance.



Desirable



  • Fire Safety level 3 and level 4 Diploma (or working towards)
  • FPA/Fire Service College fire safety training modules or fire service in house equivalent
  • Fire door inspection qualification Cert FDI / DipFD / CertFD
  • Passive fire protection training ASFP or Equivalent
