We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager and a Deputy Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. This role requires effective communication with staff, children, and parents, ensuring a nurturing and safe environment for all children in our care.

Duties

  • Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Lead and support a team of childcare professionals, fostering a positive working environment.
  • Develop and implement educational programmes that promote children's learning and development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children to learn and play.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance the nursery's reputation within the community.
  • Ensure that all staff are trained in safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Recruiting employees and providing ongoing training in best care practices
  • Developing and maintaining the nursery budget
  • Arranging marketing materials/ideas
  • Monitoring the condition of the facility and equipment and organising maintenance, repairs and new items as required
  • Updating parents and Carers about their childs progress and behaviour
  • Answering enquiries about enrolment, payments and practices
  • Developing and implementing an age-appropriate program of annual events and activities
  • Preparing the nursery for Ofsted inspections and following inspector recommendations

Experience

  • Proven experience in childcare settings, ideally within a nursery environment.
  • Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare management are advantageous.
