Behaviour Learning Support Assistant
The role will entail working 1-2-1 with a Year 2 pupil with behavioural needs. The pupil does have an Educational Healthcare Plan in place and you will supported in providing in and out of class provision. The pupil is caring but struggles to regulate their emotions but they have a love for Art and Science! This role is for an immediate start.
The Behaviour Learning Support Assistant role will involve
- Supporting a pupil in Year 1 - managing behaviour and supporting the learning.
- Work alongside the KS1 team to plan and prepare engaging, enjoyable sessions for small groups of learners.
- Firm but fair behaviour management skills
- The teaching assistant roles are full time, 5 days a week and will be due to start ASAP to continue for the full academic year.
To be considered for the Behaviour Learning Support Assistant you must:
- Have previous experience working in a primary school setting.
- Be a team player - this role requires someone who works well with teachers, pupils and parents
- Demonstrate commitment, dedication and resilience in your previous childcare work
- have an ability to manage challenging behaviour
- Ideally you will be local to Greenwich

We are a large primary school situated in Abbey Wood in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. We are a two form entry school with a nursery class. We pride ourselves on being a hard working yet friendly school which aims to provide pupils with as many opportunities to support them to succeed. We pride ourselves on the courteous nature of our pupils as well as their academic success. The majority of our end of published results (EYFS, Phonics and Key Stage 1) are at or above national standards, with Key Stage 2 (Year 6) results rapidly improving.
