Join Our Team as a Domestic Abuse Intervention Specialist

Caritas Futures is proud to partner with a renowned VAWG charity to recruit a dedicated Domestic Abuse Intervention Specialist based in London.

About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate individual to join our multi-agency team, adopting a 'whole family approach.' Your primary responsibility will be to support women in families affected by domestic violence who wish to stay together. As the domestic abuse expert, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (MDT) that includes professionals specializing in children and young people, perpetrators, substance misuse, and mental health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert support to women in families affected by domestic violence.
  • Work collaboratively with an MDT to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Conduct risk and needs assessments.
  • Engage in multi-agency work to safeguard vulnerable individuals.

Experience Required:

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding vulnerable people.
  • Experience working with high-risk clients.
  • Proficiency in risk and needs assessment.
  • Experience in multi-agency collaboration.
  • Background in supporting vulnerable adults affected by domestic abuse, substance misuse, mental health issues, homelessness, or ex-offenders.

Essential Requirements:

  • A current DBS on the update service, or willingness to undergo one.
