Hatched Recruitment is working closely with the local authorities and we are looking for a Children's Centre Early Years Practitioner.
Role Purpose:
The Early Years Practitioner will contribute to the core objectives of the Children's Centre by supporting the development and well-being of children under 5. This role is aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework and Redbridge Council's strategies for Early Years development. The practitioner will work collaboratively with Children's Centres and Early Years Play and Development (EYPaD) Teams to deliver high-quality services aimed at improving outcomes for children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate group sessions for families with children under 5, utilizing Development Matters and EYFS frameworks.
- Identify families who may require additional support and provide relevant information, signposting or referring to Children's Centres when appropriate.
- Offer parents advice and guidance to help optimize their visit and support home learning, aligned with the Children's Centres core offer.
- Collaborate with Children's Centre and EYPaD Teams to implement strategies and action plans that align with Redbridge Council's objectives.
Role Dimensions:
- Provide inclusive, developmentally appropriate early childhood education and family support services.
- Engage families in meaningful activities that support children's cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
- Ensure all services meet the required standards of the EYFS statutory framework.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A qualification in Early Years or Child Development (Level 3 or above) is desirable.
- Experience working with children under 5, especially in an Early Years or community setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to support families and young children effectively.
- Knowledge of local services and resources to support families in need.
- This role is essential in creating a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters early childhood development and supports families in their local communities.
