As a Social Worker in the Looked After Children Team, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people in care, ensuring their welfare and development. Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing care plans, and working collaboratively with families, foster carers, and other professionals to promote positive outcomes. You will be responsible for advocating for the rights and needs of looked after children, conducting regular reviews, and monitoring their progress.

Responsibilities include:

  • Care Act assessments
  • Report writing
  • Providing high quality casework
  • Having an informed understanding of mental health factors impacting child development
  • Work on cases with increased complexity
  • Determine an appropriate level of intervention and service provision



To be successful within this role, you are required to have:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Social Work Qualification
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
