Job Overview

Primary SEN teaching assistant required for an innovative and inspiring school based in Redbridge, London.As an SEN teaching assistant, you will be working on a 1:1 basis with children who require support with learning as well as supporting in the primary schools SEN provision.If you are an SEN Teaching Assistant with good knowledge and experience working with children with special needs. then this is the role for you.

Duties

  • Provide support for children with special educational needs, including those on the autism spectrum and those working at a higher ability.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students and parents as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to create an inclusive learning atmosphere.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on educational best practices.
  • Working in the Schools SEN provision
  • Being adaptable, no two days are the same

Requirements

  • Knowledge of special education practices and experience working with children with autism is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
