SEN English Teacher - Alternative Provision (PRU)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English up to Key Stage 5, with lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that inspire and motivate students with varied learning needs.
  • Develop individual education plans (IEPs) to support students' progress and ensure their unique requirements are met.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that encourages student engagement and academic achievement.
  • Utilize innovative teaching strategies and resources to support and enhance learning for students with diverse needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including SEN coordinators, support staff, and external professionals, to ensure holistic support for students.
  • Track and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and reports to students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the school's ethos by participating in extracurricular activities, staff meetings, and professional development sessions.
