Job Description:

A well-established secondary school in South East London is seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher to join their supportive and inclusive teaching team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional looking to make a real difference in the lives of students with special educational needs (SEN) in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

As an SEN Teacher, you will work closely with students with a variety of needs, including moderate learning difficulties, autism, dyslexia, and other specific learning requirements. You will be responsible for delivering tailored lessons, adapting the curriculum to meet individual learning styles, and providing a nurturing environment where every student can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for students with SEN in line with the schools curriculum.
Create Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students and assess their progress regularly.
Work closely with support staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure the holistic development of each student.
Foster an inclusive, positive, and supportive classroom atmosphere.
Implement strategies and interventions to support students academic, social, and emotional growth.
Promote independence and confidence among students while catering to their unique learning needs.
Maintain accurate records of students achievements and areas for development.
The Ideal Candidate:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Previous experience working with secondary-aged students with SEN, ideally in a teaching capacity.
A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching.
Strong understanding of SEN codes of practice, strategies, and interventions.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
A passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
