We are excited to offer a range of teaching opportunities within our Special Educational Needs and Mental Health (SEMH) schools. We are currently recruiting dedicated, passionate, and experienced teachers for the following subjects:

  • English
  • Humanities
  • Science
  • Design & Technology (DT)
  • Mathematics
  • ASD part time Teacher

About the Role:

As a teacher in an SEMH school, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health challenges. The successful candidates will be responsible for creating and delivering engaging lessons, tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, while providing a safe and supportive learning environment. You will also work closely with other professionals to ensure the wellbeing and academic development of the students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver effective lessons in your designated subject area
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that meets the needs of students with SEMH
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and adapting teaching strategies as needed
  • Develop positive relationships with students, ensuring their emotional and academic needs are met
  • Collaborate with other staff members, including teaching assistants and pastoral support teams
  • Promote a positive classroom culture that encourages students to engage, learn, and succeed

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience working with students with SEMH or other special educational needs is highly desirable
  • A passion for working in education and helping students overcome barriers to learning
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to suit the individual needs of students
  • A commitment to promoting inclusivity and supporting the emotional wellbeing of students
