About the Role:
Redbridge Council's Children with Disabilities Service is seeking a dedicated Paediatric Social Care Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality Social Care Occupational Therapy services to disabled children across Redbridge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload, providing child-centred care within homes and community settings.
- Collaborate with the Children with Disabilities Service and SEN teams to support children in achieving their outcomes.
- Conduct assessments, plan interventions, and evaluate treatments in line with professional standards.
- Deliver individual therapy sessions and group work, tailoring approaches to meet varied needs.
- Maintain accurate records, manage data input, and oversee the OT team's email inbox.
- Participate in service development, supervision, and continuous professional development (CPD).
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- BSc, MSc, or PGDip in Occupational Therapy (RCOT accredited).
- HCPC registration and RCOT membership.
- Experience managing a complex caseload and delivering interventions in home or community settings.
- Proficiency in clinical reasoning, assessment, and report writing.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team, managing time and caseload efficiently.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Membership in RCOT SS: Children, Young People and Families.
- Sensory Integration qualification.
- Experience in Children and Young Adult's Occupational Therapy Services.
- Knowledge of a range of paediatric assessment techniques and interventions.
