Engineering Technician - Facilities Maintenance

Our client is seeking a skilled Engineering Technician to join their facilities maintenance team at a prestigious site. This role offers an opportunity to showcase your technical expertise while delivering exceptional customer service in the heart of Canary Wharf.

About the Role:

As an Engineering Technician, you'll be the technical backbone of the facilities team, ensuring all mechanical and electrical systems operate at peak performance in tandem with another Senior engineer on site. You'll respond to maintenance requests, conduct preventative maintenance, and serve as a key liaison during special events.

Mon - Friday
8am 5pm or 7am-4pm
1:2 Callout (Lucrative allowance offered)
Salary: 45K

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality engineering services to the site and landlord areas
  • Respond to emergency situations following established protocols
  • Perform reactive mechanical/electrical works with efficiency and precision
  • Carry out preventative maintenance during scheduled periods
  • Support the facilities team with technical assistance as needed
  • Serve as primary liaison for show-related events during your shift
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including permit-to-work systems
  • Promote sustainability and energy-saving initiatives
Requirements:
  • Qualified in electrical, mechanical, or building services with trade certificates
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to work across multiple disciplines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Smart appearance and professional demeanour
