Shifts: Mon - Fri Days 06:00 - 18:00 / Sun - Thurs Nights 18:00 - 06:00 (2 Weeks rotating)
Trains: Aventra Class 720
Start Date: ASAP

Position Summary:
Working at a live Rail Depot you will be engaged in the implementation of a suite of modifications on Aventra Class 720 Fleet. Take overall responsibility of vehicle in line with vehicle maintenance instructions (VMI's) and Modification instructions. Undertake all types work to ensure that a safe, reliable, and defect free train is provided. Take responsibility for the safe, efficient and professional workmanship of oneself and others under your control. Duties could include the following:
* Carrying out modifications as per instructions
* Mechanical Interiors/ Roof & Underframe inspections
* Recording work via both paperwork and computer (SAP)
Ideal Candidate
* A diligent professional able to work well as an individual or in a team. Relevant experience required:
* History of completing safety critical work
* Ability to undertake detailed fault finding and analysis by reading and following electrical and pneumatic schematic drawings.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical Principles
* Computer literate and experience of using a maintenance management system for work recording.
Qualification required:
* Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or a NVQ 2 or above in a relevant field is desired.
