Remedy Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Greenwich, to recruit an experienced and passionate Interventions Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children in Year 1 and Year 2, focusing on phonics, reading interventions, and tailored SEND support, including speech and language interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted phonics and reading interventions to small groups and individual pupils.
  • Provide SEND support, including speech and language interventions, to help children access learning effectively.
  • Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to plan and implement interventions.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to staff and parents.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that encourages learning and development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting phonics, reading, or SEND interventions.
  • Understanding of strategies to support speech and language development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and patient approach to working with children.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or SEND (desirable).
