Description

  • Set and operate CNC machines (Lathes/Turners)
  • Translate blueprints and engineering drawings into operational instructions for the CNC machines.
  • Ensure that products meet exact specifications, conducting regular quality control checks.
  • Troubleshoot any issues with the machines, performing maintenance tasks as required.
  • Work closely with the Engineering & Manufacturing team to improve processes and output.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the workshop.
  • Participate in team meetings, contributing ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Keep a record of all jobs completed, including any issues encountered and their resolutions.

Profile

A successful CNC Setter should have:

  • Strong understanding of CNC programming and operation.
  • Working knowledge of Sliding head lathes
  • Working knowledge of Fanuc controls
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring precision in all tasks.
  • Good problem-solving skills, able to troubleshoot issues with the machinery.
  • A team player mindset, able to work well with colleagues in the Engineering & Manufacturing department.

Job Offer

  • Salary is DOE circa £27,000 to £37,300.
  • Double day Monday - Friday 06:00 - 14:00 / 14:00 - 22:00 rotation
  • Perm nights Sunday - Thursday 22:00 - 06:00
