Teaching Assistant | Derbyshire (DE72) | £95-£105 | Long-Term to Permanent | Immediate start

Working hours : 37 hours per week

LTF Recruitment is looking for a dedicated and patient Level 1 Teaching Assistant to work within the Enhanced Resource Centre. Here you will be supporting students with Autism and Aspergers. This role offers an opportunity to provide tailored support, helping the pupil to achieve their social, emotional, and academic goals in a nurturing and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, focusing on their specific learning and developmental needs.
  • Assist with classwork and provide targeted interventions to help them stay engaged and motivated.
  • Support the child's social skills and emotional development through consistent, positive reinforcement.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning strategies and monitor progress.
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment that encourages independence and builds the child's confidence.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with secondary school aged pupils with SEN.
  • A calm, compassionate approach with the ability to build rapport and trust with young learners.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • A passion for helping children reach their full potential.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or child development are desirable.
