A recent Electrical Engineering Graduate is needed by an established Derbyshire based Engineering company
YOUR NEW JOB
Initially you will work within the Test department and, alongside the Test Engineer, carry out routine in-house testing of medium voltage distribution transformers and switchgear to ensure that all products are compliant to design and performance standards.
Main Duties:
- Assisting in the preparation for and completion of routine testing of distribution transformers and 11kV electrical switchgear.
- Producing traceable and accurate test records.
- Conducting electrical testing of oil samples.
- Ensuring test equipment is suitably calibrated and maintained in a suitable condition.
- Co-ordinating the movement of product throughout the production facility.
- Undertaking routine inspection of incoming equipment and final inspection of outgoing assembled product.
To succeed in the role you will need some of the following qualifications and experience
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Good attention to detail with a good degree of IT Literacy
- A mature approach to health and safety and the need to adopt strict working practices in respect of the hazards of high-voltage testing.
- Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills.
