We’re looking for a proactive and detail-focused HR Assistant to join this growing HR consultancy. If you enjoy getting stuck into a variety of HR tasks, supporting people, and want to work in a friendly and fast-paced environment, this could be the role for you.

You'll be supporting multiple clients with everything from onboarding and payroll to recruitment and employee relations. No two days are the same, so if you like variety and are happy juggling different tasks, you’ll fit right in.

Location: Ilkeston, Derbyshire, fully office basedSalary: £28,000Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm (early finish at 4pm on Fridays)28+ holidays plus Bank Holidays, Pension

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting clients with general HR tasks across the full employee lifecycle
  • Assisting with recruitment, job adverts, and interviews
  • Handling HR admin, including contracts, payroll, benefits, and absence management
  • Keeping HR systems up to date and managing the shared HR inbox
  • Researching employment law topics and creating content for blogs and newsletters

What we’re looking for:

  • HR experience is essential, with strong admin and organisational skills
  • Great attention to detail and a professional approach
  • IT savvy, ideally experienced with BreatheHR
  • A friendly and approachable nature with the ability to build relationships easily
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification (ideal but not essential)
