We are recruiting for Teaching Assistant to work across years 3-6 on a full time basis at a lovely primary school in Ilkeston, DerbyshireÂ
The position will start immediately for the right candidateÂ
The school are looking to appoint enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to children exhibiting challenging behaviour
- Develop and implement personalised behaviour plans
- Monitor progress and maintain records of behavioural interventions
- Work collaboratively with staff and parents to ensure a consistent approach to behaviour management
- Lead small group sessions to develop social skills, emotional regulation, and self-confidence
- Offer guidance and support to staff on best practices for behaviour management
Requirements:
- The ability to create a happy, challenging, and effective learning environment.
- Experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting
- Helpful, positive, calm, and caring nature.
- Excellent speaking and listening skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one.
- Will have a Teaching Assistant qualification, though this is not essential
- Are able to multitask and prioritise tasks in order of importance
Please note - to qualify for the higher end of the pay scale you must have at least two years' experience working within an Early Years environment.
